Real Bedford v Norwich match preview

Match Preview: Real Bedford vs Norwich
The Ledger Stadium | Sunday, 2:00 PM Kick-Off

This Saturday, The Ledger Stadium plays host to a blockbuster clash as Real Bedford takes on Norwich in a highly anticipated fixture. With both sides in great form, and a large crowd expected, the stage is set for an exciting afternoon of football.

Opposition Preview

Norwich currently sit 3rd in the table, following a commanding 4-0 victory over Dulwich Hamlet in their last outing. They’ve proven to be a well-organised and dangerous side, capable of putting teams to the sword if given the chance.

When Real Bedford travelled to The Nest back in October, the match ended in a hard-fought 0-0 draw. It was a frustrating afternoon for the Pirates, as they had opportunities to take all three points but couldn’t find the finishing touch. This weekend offers the perfect chance for Bedford to set the record straight on home turf.

Chairman’s Thoughts

“We’re all excited to welcome Norwich to the Ledger Stadium this weekend. Personally, it was the first fixture I looked for when the schedule was released. Being in the same league as teams like Norwich is surreal for us, and competing with them is an incredible achievement by Charlie and his team.

At the start of the season, our goal was to compete for the title, knowing that Norwich and Chatham would likely be our toughest opponents. The girls have been phenomenal, and their hard work has paid off—our win against AFC Sudbury has put us at the top of the table.

But we know this will be a tough game, Norwich is a great team and Andy Cook is a very experienced manager, but the team is ready and their unbeaten run speaks for itself. The pressure is squarely on Norwich as another loss for them will all but end their season, while a loss for us still leaves us in a strong position with only a few games remaining. That said, I know the girls will be determined to keep their unbeaten run alive. If they play as they have all season, I’m confident we’ll keep all three points in Bedford.”
- Peter McCormack (Chairman)

With the home crowd behind them, we will be looking to create a great atmosphere at The Ledger Stadium. Your support can make all the difference, and let’s cheer the team on to what we hope will be another crucial victory!
