Jack Morrell Signs for Real Bedford

Real Bedford can confirm defender Jack Morrell has signed for the club from Biggleswade Town.

Having started his career at Gillingham, Morrell has gained valuable non-league experience at Hitchin, Bishop’s Stortford, and more recently Biggleswade Town.

Morrell was a key part of Biggleswade’s title winning side last season that saw them gain automatic promotion to Step 3, with Morrell also obtaining a place in the Southern Central Division One Team of the Season for last campaign.

On signing for The Pirates, Morrell said:

“It’s great to sign for a club like Real Bedford who seem to be on an extremely positive trajectory. Having known a fair few of the players before joining, they had told me about the culture and professionalism built at McMullen Park which is ideal for me at this time in my career.”

Rob Sinclair had high praise for his first summer acquisition:

“Jack is a great character to bring into the side at this time. He was one of our main defensive targets over the summer so delighted to have him join us at McMullen Park. Despite being young, he’s experienced and knows how to win this league in particular.”

Make sure you don’t miss a moment of Jack’s time at The Pirates by purchasing a season ticket here.
